Review ~ The Color of Heaven by Julianne MacLean

The Color of Heaven (The Color of Heaven, #1)The Color of Heaven by Julianne MacLean

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing story! Most of it was written in a “telling” manner with not a lot of “showing.” It wasn’t bad though, because I think it was necessary for the story told, and I feel it didn’t take anything away from the emotion of the tale.
Miracles, afterlife, great loves of your life, some seriously painful events, a bit of supernatural, and, finally, a happy ending! It was a journey, an extremely emotional one, but I found it had such a strong underlying message that touched me greatly!!
If you don’t mind the “telling” then you should definitely read it!

Summary:

“A box of tissues should be included in the purchase price of this book…. I finished THE COLOR OF HEAVEN in a matter of hours, but I’ve no doubt the read and the lessons imparted through Sophie’s story will stay with me… probably forever. THE COLOR OF HEAVEN is an incredibly poignant and unbelievably gripping novel, deserving Romance Junkies’ highest rating.”
