C is for Catch Fire
Reading and Wraps (Jamberry Nail Wraps)
Catch Fire is a such a pretty wrap and not only looks like it goes with Catching Fire (The Hunger Game Series) but the name is fitting. This definitely reminds me of their costumes going up in flames.
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Summary:
Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and her longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol – a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.
Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest she’s afraid she cannot stop. And what scares her even more is that she’s not entirely convinced she should try. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol’s cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. If they can’t prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying.
In Catching Fire, the second novel in the Hunger Games trilogy, Suzanne Collins continues the story of Katniss Everdeen, testing her more than ever before…and surprising readers at every turn.

Hi Jennifer. I love your theme of pairing nail wraps with books. Love this and it surely looks like something going up in flames. I have seen The Hunger Games series, but yet to read the book. I am so looking forward to it now.
Have a great time, reading, writing and connecting with co-participants of the A to Z Challenge. Cheers 🙂

This is an interesting way of combing two interests. I’ve got quite a few friends who are big into nail art, I never imagined you could be inspired by the books you’ve read.
I did enjoy Catching Fire, but I felt that it wasn’t as much of a standalone as the first book. It helped lead into Mockingjay very well though.

🙂 Thank you, I’ve been thinking about this for a while. To be able to combine my two obsessions is so much fun!
Send you nail art lovers my way!! Jamberry is so much fun with over 300 different designs.
Yes, I don’t think I’d recommend Catching Fire or any of the Hunger Games books as a standalone. I agree that it lead into Mockingjay very well. I love what they’re doing with the movies as well.
Thank you for stopping by!! 😀
