Review ~ Baby for Keeps by Janice Maynard

Baby for KeepsBaby for Keeps by Janice Maynard

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an adorable story of a couple that I thought at first had a past. However, although they knew each other they never had a love affair of any kind. Their relationship seemed almost better than that, because it built a foundation for their future. This story was more about a bachelor with low self-esteem, who doesn’t want to give up his single life (or so he thinks) and a girl who is a single mother with a career she loves. Neither think they want to give up anything.

The characters were well done and I enjoyed the short peeks into Dylan’s family. Gertie, the housekeeper, was sweet and kind.

I recommend this story to anyone that enjoys a good love story, two great main characters, a baby, a man who loves said baby, and did I mention a handsome man that loves an adorable baby?

Summary:
A woman and baby walk into a bar.

It might sound like a joke, but saloon owner Dylan Kavanagh knows it’s all too serious. Struggling single mom Mia Larin needs him. She helped him when they were young, and the bachelor means to do everything in his power to protect Mia and her child. Giving her a job, a room under his own roof, is easy. Keeping it all about business isn’t…

Dylan is a successful, eligible catch, but are Mia’s feelings just a case of hero worship? Or will she still need him, still want him, once her circumstances change?
