Absolutely amazing sequel to Divergent.

Tris is just a wonderfully strong character and she grows so much in these books. She’s still not perfect and who is, right? But that’s what makes her so real. The author doesn’t try to create these perfect people, she makes them real and understanding. Tris has gut instincts and feels the need to follow them even though she doesn’t know where it will lead her. She’s not afraid of risking her life for the greater good.
Four although sweet and wonderful with Tris, he still needs to grow. Certain things about him bother me, he’s too secretive and he’s so tough but yet still so vulnerable. It’s just odd. I wish there was more of a relationship between Four and Tris, but although they love each other, they don’t really know each other enough. Understandably, a lot of their time is used to save their world and people and stay alive in the process of it all that there’s not time to build on a relationship. I hope that changes a bit in Allegiant, but with the way this one ended, I’m not sure how that’ll be possible.
There are so many things about these books that I just love, the author is just clever and the worlds she created are incredible. Everything feels like it belongs and has meaning and purpose to bring the story along.
Can’t wait for the next one. 🙂
