Just Like in the Movies by M.B. Feeney
Summary:
Ava Jones has settled for a life that she’s not sure she wants anymore, but won’t admit it. Her best friend, Erica Davidson talks her into taking a break on the Isle of Wight. Her days on the island are spent thinking things through, and arguing with Morgan whom she hates on principal.
Is it so wrong for her to want a life that follows the script of a honest to God romance film?
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Loved this short story! I think the topic of my reading of the past week has been self discovery. This book, Ava discovered a beautiful place to live, a life she wasn’t happy with, and a need to change it all. With those realizations, she moved on and made a life for herself that made her happy. Once she was satisfied with her new home and life, love came and swept her off her feet.
I enjoyed the movie theme and the chapter names, the beach, and Morgan. 🙂
A great quick read that I recommend to everyone!
