A wonderful summer beach read that released, July 2nd. 

After that day, I ignored her phone calls, and I never spoke to her again. I was consumed with bitterness over what she had denied me. I thought she was the most selfish person I had ever known.

Her sudden and unexpected death left me with such guilt and shame. I had shunned my mother for doing what she thought was best, and it had cost me the last year of her life. My anger had made me a jerk and a spoiled brat. I hadn’t deserved her love.
