My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well this was an interesting read. As Binchy’s strong suit, always weaving tales of the lives of many, she managed to tell a tale of love and heartache and healing. This was a very interesting story of two young loves, a husband reaching for the stars and the wife following his dreams. However, all of the dreams that were reached weren’t enough for this bright, handsome husband and he still wanted more, while the wife was left dependent and longing. Friendships were important in many aspects and not all what they seemed either. It was a very crazy web of relationships but written so well that it was so easy to keep up.

I love stories with happy endings and great romances, and this had some of that … but I think the ending was subjective in its happy ending. I did enjoy this story very much though and the way Binchy writes. Her style and ability to keep up the stories of so many lives is unbelievable. She was very talented.

I recommend this story greatly.
