Review ~ The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I enjoyed this book a bit more than the last one. It was long, though. It seems all her books keep getting longer and longer. Although, I enjoy very much every single thing that happens in every single one of her character’s lives, I’m not sure we need every single thought.
The problem is I am absolutely addicted to all of the characters in those books that I can’t help but keep going. I love Jamie Fraser and Claire in their oldish age, and reading about Bree getting her life started. I am so happy, so happy that one of my favorite little characters came back!! Woot!
I think the only thing that bothers me is the characters go through so many problems. I mean, I just don’t see that much bad happening to the same group of people as much as it does in these books. I swear, they never get a break. It’s always something and then ten more things on top of it. It’s crazy.
I have two more books to go until I sit around waiting like everyone else for the next one to come out.

I am way behind on these stories, still in the midst of Outlander but am enjoying Diana’s story very much, Will definitely add to my TBR listing ๐
They’re addicting, but it’s a project and commitment to read them all. I listen to them on audiobook, so that’s helpful but at least 40-50 hours of listening time per book.
Once you get past that first book, you’ll be hooked as well. ๐ Be careful!! ๐ I love them, though.
Yes, the loads of trouble are rather mind boggling. It got to a point I cringed any time they set off to visit Aunt Jocasta because nothing, and I mean nothing, ever good happens on her plantation.
