Jack Templar Monster Hunter by Jeff Gunhus

This very mystical and mythical book was a great treat. Jack is nearing his fourteenth birthday and has a world of changes piling on top of him. He wants to worry about normal things like pretty girls, but the world of monsters takes over his priorities.

There were so many times I was on the edge of my seat rooting for Jack and others I was scared. I mean seriously scared. I didn’t expect any of this and was so pleasantly surprised while reading it.

My boys love mythology and those types of book and movies and this story reminded me a lot of Percy Jackson. It was written with a similar feeling!
The interactions and feelings of being inside the story were wonderful.

The author did a great job of writing this and I’ll definitely be recommending this for both of my boys (20 & 12).
