Dare you To (Pushing the Limits #2) Should be out in 2013
The cover fit the book so perfectly. Beautiful!
I was enraptured by Noah’s and Echo’s stories. They were heartbreaking and showed so many messed up things that happens to good kids. Kids that have problems and bad things happen to them and all they want is normal–what they perceive as normal.
I particularly liked her side characters. Mrs. Collins was such a wonderful person and the way she touched their lives was so heartwarming. One of my favorite scenes with her was in Carrie and Joe’s kitchen with Noah. Other’s are when she’s always one step ahead of those kids. She was just what they needed.
Beth, Isaiah, and Lila show that family comes in all sorts of ways. It was so cool to watch Noah and Echo understand that and appreciate it.
Rico was hilarious and I related. His slang was right up my alley and his presence in the book added to my belief that the author might have been trying to show what our world is made up of. Beth, Isaiah, Rico, and even Echo and Noah were all different but a big part of our world and should all have a place in it. Regardless of your looks or origin you should have a place without ridicule.
I loved it when Noah and Beth realized what was important and made some major changes. They were brave and strong and beautiful.
Nothing could ever erase what they had experienced and lost, but they could come to terms with it and still create a beautiful future.
The messages in the book were so touching and I cried so many times. I was truly 100% invested in these characters. The author did a wonderful job telling her story and I would love to read more of her work.
