I honestly had no idea what to expect when I heard about this book. All I knew is that it was going to be good. After all, my friend, a person that I respected so thoroughly wrote it. I had read many of her stories and all of them beyond excellent, but this, this was amazing. I was so afraid to read it because I knew her potential and having heard her call this novel her baby, I knew it was going to be so much more than amazing -it was. She did not disappoint. My fears of not being able to handle the magnificence of Angel’s Heart: The Keeper were swallowed up from page one.

The cover is beautiful and fits the book so well.

Angel’s Heart: The Keeper gave me chills, tears of joy, tears of sadness, excitement, fear, loss, and so many more feelings in those 242 pages. I love reading books with imagery that places you into the story. Boy does Lisa do that in this story. Every single word is worth a million and they create such an incredible journey.

I knew nothing about the premise of the story before I began. I stayed away from the other reviews and comments because I wanted to be surprised and without expectations. I’m so glad I did that because I was able to immerse myself into the tale without waiting for a shoe to drop. I just read and enjoyed. Lisa wrote a world for Sophie and Henry so incredible that even though there was so much danger I wanted to be a part of it. Her imagination was not so much surprising, but so much more than I expected. The world was easy to follow and how she weaved everyone’s part without causing confusion showed her genius.

The characters were so well written. Every single character was important and had a place. Nothing nor anyone felt thrown in there and I actually liked people I thought I wouldn’t. The heroine, Sophie, felt so real to me. She went through emotions as most of us would and I enjoyed watching her change and grow into herself. Henry was a great match for her.

I just enjoyed this books so much and as I read it I tracked my thoughts and emotions on Goodreads. Check them out if you like.

I recommend this read. It’s a beautiful story that deserves to be read and shared. Trust!
